01.01 Chapter One Let’s start with my roots

Dad was a submariner and radio technician, which got him mixed up with intelligence operations. In those days, once you got into naval intelligence, you didn’t ever get out, even after being discharged from general service. He remained forever on call to take care of situations as they arose. Those would be mostly technical issues with electronic spying devices.

He often disappeared for a few days to a week or more, returning with photos of exotic places like Little Diomedes Island, but no details of what he had done there. His continued involvement with spooks (spies and undercover agents of various agencies) led to repercussions in my own life.
